Our country now facing a severe blood shortage due to unprecedented number of blood drive cancellations. One of the most important things we can do to ensure we don’t have another health care crisis on top of current crisis is to give blood, if you are healthy and eligible.
Like a hospital, grocery store, or pharmacy, blood collection centers are vital to ensuring the health of the community. We understand that people have concerns right now about all aspects of public health and we are keenly focused on the safety and well-being of everyone, but want to stress that donating blood is a safe process and people should not hesitate to give. According to the American Red Cross, there is no data or evidence that this virus (or any other respiratory virus) is transmitted by blood transfusions.
Rotary Club of Oldsmar/Eastlake will be hosting a Blood Drive with the American Red Cross and One Blood at the Oldsmar Flea Market, located at 180 Race Track Rd, Oldsmar, FL on Saturday September 19th, 2020 from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Please donate and help spread the word about this event to everyone that you know to help save lives. Remember, you don’t have to be a doctor to save a life.

5000 face masks will be distributed to anyone who needed them on a first-come, first served basis (limit 10 per person). Blood donors will receive a box of 50 face masks at no charge.
