With tools in hand! Chain saw, drills, hammers, wrenches, screw drivers, rollers, paint brushes and more… Rotarians and volunteers from Rotary club of Oldsmar/Eastlake, Eastlake Sunrise, Safety Harbor, Indian Rocks Beach and Tampa-Westchase completed their joint “Rotary Bistro” project at the Children’s Home Network located at 10909 Memorial Highway in Tampa, Florida. The five clubs have raised more than $10,000.00 to purchase and donate 18 sets of 36” dining room round tables, 72 dining room chairs, a two doors reach-in refrigerator, a five wells steam table/food warmer, serving shelf, wall sign and door plaque. In one Saturday morning, they have assembled all the furniture and equipment, repainted the cafeteria, cleaned all the windows, and even helped clear out some of the trees downed by hurricane Irma a few weeks ago, truly making a difference in the lives of the children at the Children’s Home Network and showing the true spirit of “Service Above Self”.
